Paralysis Of Analysis-Procrastination or Fear

How many people do you know that don’t get off the starting block?  They are on the track, the gun goes off and they are still standing there

Is it:

  • Paralysis of Analysis– The sheer quantity of analysis overwhelms the decision making process itself, thus preventing a decision.
  • Procrastination– A mechanism for coping with anxiety associated with starting and/or completing any task or decision.
  • Fear– emotional response to a perceived threat.

Fear of failure is common and you can learn to overcome that but I often encounter people that are more concerned about wasting their most precious commodity…time.
