Is Google Caffeine Good For Bloggers

In the video below you can get a better understanding of my views on the topic of blogs and Google Caffeine

Google has made another major change in their alogrithm and it affects everyone, including bloggers.

Some people believe this change takes into consideration:

  • Fresh content
  • Rich Media
  • Site loading speed
  • Social Networks
  • Local search
  • Higher quality content(measured by a number of things)

The WordPress platform is the favorite of most bloggers using a self-hosted service like myself.  This platform is easy to use and it allows you to post content regularly (fresh) and with the new algorithm an individual post may get indexed (recognized) faster in the search engines.

If this is all techie talk for you think of this.

What do humans like?  They watch and read about today’s news.  Not 6 months ago.  Humans like video and pictures.

Since the end user is Google’s target market, they also like today’s news, video, and pictures.

Watch the video and share your thoughts below.  Does this excite you?  Do you post regularly?  Are you going to post more regularly now?

Great blog post and video, Kenny. I appreciate the explanations and reminder to include media: pictures, videos I agree with your practice to link to relevant content within your blog. It’s a great way to keep older relevant content circulating & leverage work you’ve already done! Using anchor text that matches the original post title is an easy way to boost SEO.

I’ll be back to visit your blog again soon. Thanks for sharing great information!

Google Caffeine is not only great for bloggers, it’s awesome for end users. As bloggers we benefit by having our posts’ content indexed and available faster and as an end user, I know the searches I conduct will likely be the latest and greatest relevant content.

You are welcome Amy. I look forward to watching you develop your brand online. You know how to reach me if you have a question.

I am so glad to hear you say that Bill. It truly is for the end user. It’s up to us to give great content so the end user wants to find it and refer it to others.

Hey Kenny-
I remembered reading this post a few months ago. As you know, I’m building Speedlings sites. These sites are so caffeine-friendly, they get natural search engine traffic very quickly.
I posted a video and blog post about on my blog.
